A PRAYER ANSWERED

 The little herb house | fuquay-varina, NC | september 29, 2018

We had the pleasure of not only getting to know Karla & Josh’s love story before their wedding, but we also got to capture the biggest day of their lives thus far, their wedding day. These two made it clear that God is at the top of their triangle and they intend to chase after Him together. Karla’s vows said “I don’t just want a life that reflects Jesus, I want a marriage that reflects Jesus.” Karla & Josh’s devotion and passion for Christ is something that they both are carrying into their new, loving beginning as one.

We had quite a few favorite moments, but one that really stood out to us was the first touch. As Karla approached Josh’s turned back, Josh cracked a smile as he heard her voice. Their fingers locked and they both began praying together. You could tell how much this moment meant to them and how excited they were to say “I do” in their ceremony.

We can’t thank these two enough for allowing us to capture such a special love. We wish Karla & Josh the very best and a life full of everlasting love!

KARLA & JOSH’S LOVE STORY

HISTORIC YATES MILL COUNTRY PARK | RALEIGH, NC

The story of Karla & Josh all began at young age. In fact, Josh was still in diapers. Karla & Josh grew up knowing each other through their families, but it wasn’t until one Thanksgiving that Josh made a move and asked for Karla’s number! The two had their first date a Hurricanes game, but before the night started, Karla brought out the big questions on the car ride. Josh could’ve called it quits at that point, but his kind nature and care for Karla made him appreciate being asked tough questions. For him, Karla was worth it.

The two then began dating. A deep conversation after their first date led these two to fall in love within weeks. Josh knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Karla, so he acted on it. He surprised Karla with a dinner at Angus Barn in Raleigh, one of her favorite places because of the Chocolate Chess Pie (nommmmm!). When it came time for dessert, the waiter brought out the Chocolate Chess Pie under a silver platter, and Karla rightfully said, “Present it to me.” Surprisingly, the ring was in the whipped cream on the side of the plate and she quickly picked up on what was happened. Josh said, “This is our moment, Karla,” dropped to one knee, and asked her to marry him.

We are so excited to capture Karla & Josh’s wedding, and cannot wait to see this love be united as one. These two put Christ first, but seek Him together, and we are so proud to be the ones capturing their big day. Looking forward to seeing these two walk up the aisle as one!
